50 Years Of The Beatles!

What a great way to begin my two weeks annual leave!

I have just watched one of the best TV programmes ever! The show took you back to the 1960's. 50 Years Of The Beatles, A Grammy Salute. In the audience were: Tom Hanks, Yoko and Sean Ono.

On the stage singing were great artists such as Stevie Wonder and Katy Perry. They were all paying tribute to The Beatles.

Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr both took to the stage. They remembered both John Lennon and George Harrison during the tribute. I loved all of their songs, even though I was far to young to remember them all. I do remember "Let It Be" though, however they seemed to die down by the 1970's. My Mum was very fond of the Beatles and she played their records on her radiogram. I soon learned them.. :) My personal favourites were: "She Loves You" (Yeah Yeah Yeah), "I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends" and "She's Got A Ticket To Ride."

The whole show was absolutely awesome!!! I loved it!:)

I also enjoyed the new three part series entitled 'Cilla' this evening.

Sharpens My Claws! ;o)

I'm really pleased with my nails.  They're based on Dorothy's red shoes in the Wizard of Oz. I love red and sparkly....they're wicked!!! :o)

I'm British!

I can understand why folk such as myself can feel a little insulted sometimes.  Sometimes when we are asked to state our ethnic origin, the nearest we can find is White British!  I am indeed very British however I am not White!  White is a colour! My grandmother was white and so are my children, however I am NOT white!  I detest having to put white British on a form, when I am hardly white in colour, even though I class England as my country!

I was brought up in England, I only speak the English language, therefore I don't fall into any other category but the British one, however I am not white in colour.  I think this category is all wrong because you are either British or you are Not British as far as I am concerned.  You cannot be both or many nationalities, you have one ethnic origin!:)
